Brick Lining ...

The primarily purpose of brick lining is to protect the sealing layer - consisting of a rubber lining or synthetic resin coating - against thermal and mechanical stress in chemically stressed vessels, apparatus, pipelines, channels and pits.

In addition, they increase the longevity of the corrosion protection system, since they prevent the direct contact of the aggressive media with the sealing layer.
